SYNOPSIS
Set against the unforgiving landscape of the Kazakh steppe, No Good In Sight: A Story is a neo-western about desperation, guilt, and the devastating consequences of human choices.
Desperate to pay for his gravely ill son’s life-saving surgery, a man agrees to take part in a robbery. But when a fatal gunshot rings out at an isolated gas station in the dead of night, the plan collapses, unleashing a brutal chain of violence and murder.
Confined to an interrogation room, he must reconstruct the events of that fateful night while confronting his own conscience and a childhood trauma rooted in his relationship with his late father — a wound that has haunted him for thirty years.
Blending intimate human drama with the stark atmosphere of a neo-western, the film explores fatherhood, inherited trauma, loneliness, justice, and revenge.
